Arbeiterstrich Collection
In a collaboration between Milan Mijalkovic and workers from the Arbeiterstrich (gathering point for undocumented laborers seeking work). Mijalkovic approached laborers in the street who were waiting to find employment on the black market, gave them a camera and asked them to take photographs of their work. With these images, he has documentation of the work carried out in secret.
The resulting photographs are compiled in albums titled after the laborers concerned, such as Ramano, Blagoj, Safet, Deniz... We see two of these albums on the videos, with photos taken by Ramano and Blagoj. The images show the diversity of locations where undocumented laborers have been employed and which bear the traces of this cheap labor.
